Philadelphia Eagles interested in Gus Bradley
December 31, Andy Reid was fired from the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have now looked at eight different options to replace him. Next up is Gus Bradley.
Bradley is currently in his fourth year as the defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are playing the Atlanta Falcons Sunday. This means that the Eagles could not officially hire Bradley until Seattle is eliminated.
Associated Press reported Bradley’s mind is still focused on the game on Sunday. “Well, it’s flattering. And I know people talk about our entire focus is on Atlanta and it really is,” Bradley said.
Seahawks head coach Peter Carroll appears supportive. “He’s got a way of reaching people and touching people and getting the best out of them, coaches and players alike. He’s got everything that you’re looking for,” Carroll said.
Pennlive.com reports on Bradley’s successful work with Seattle’s defense. Last year was the first time since 1997 that the Seahawks’ defense was ranked in the top ten in the NFL. This season they are leading the league in points allowed (15.3 ppg), and ranking fourth in total defense (306.2 ypg).
It seems that Bradley would be a good fit for the Eagles.
