Stephen Hawking puzzled over Donald Trump’s popularity

World-renowned theorist and physicist Stephen Hawking may have assumptions, ideas and theories about a lot of things and people- but this does not include U.S presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Stephen Hawking was invited to ITV’s Good Morning Britain, and was asked if his knowledge about the universe could explain why Donald Trump was so famous, to which he replied by describing Trump as a “demagogue, who seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator.”

Professor Hawking continued by urging the voters to keep the United Kingdom in the European Union, and that tThe possibility of our leaving the EU has already led to a sharp fall in the pound because the markers judge that it will damage our economy.”

Trump has recently said that United Kingdom is “better off” outside the European Union and shown his support for Brexit and mentioned that migration has been a horrible thing for the UK and the European Union has a lot to do with it.

He also criticized Barack Obama for speaking against Brexit, saying the White House should be “more neutral” on the issue.

Trump claimed that he would not give Britain any advice, but also said that he knows that a lot of people from the UK are against the EU. The Republican added that he has a lot of investments in the UK and said that if the decision of UK leaving the EU would be based on what he heard from the people of the country, he thinks that the UK may leave the Union.
