Boxing News: Floyd Mayweather setting up hype in rematch vs. Manny Pacquiao? Calls Filipino ‘one of ‘best’ he fought

Floyd “Money” Mayweather is on to something after calling boxing rival Manny Pacquiao as “one of the best” he has fought in his long career. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao recently retired from the sport but the Filipino boxer will be making his comeback fight in November against unknown Jessie Vargas.

There are also rumors that Mayweather will be making his own boxing comeback and unretired like Pacquiao. A rematch of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is one of the top options for both former pound-for-pound No. 1 boxers since the second bout between the two will earn big like their previous fight in 2015.

“May the best man win. Out of all the fighters that I’ve faced throughout my career, Pacquiao is one of the best fighters,” Mayweather stated via Fight Hype.

“His (Pacquiao’s) movement, I mean, he’s fast. The power comes from the legs and how he turns his shots.”

Pacquiao, who lost to Mayweather in the “Fight of the Century” a year ago, will face American Vargas on November 5 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada for his comeback fight.

Mayweather’s rumored return has been in boxing speculations lately with chances of a fight against MMA star Conor McGregor reportedly being discussed. There is a slight chance that this happens but a fight against Pacquiao could be more possible if the fighters want to earn more money in their next meeting.

Both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are being accused of selling out and just returning to the sport of “money grab” from boxing fans. The next fight by Pacquiao is a proof of one, according to many boxing enthusiasts and it’s likely to become a bust boxing event.
