New UFC star Nate Diaz and Justin Bieber recently got into a social media scuffle. Apparently, Justin Bieber was upset over Conor McGregor’s UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz. So, Bieber took it upon himself to trash Diaz.
“No bandwagon but Conor is a true champion, fights with style and finesse, all the respect to Nate but his style is terrible. Nate has crazy heart respect,” Bieber posted on Instagram.
Nate Diaz of course, was not at all impressed by Bieber’s antics. He responded back by saying that the singer deserved a Stockton slapping for his disrespect.
“Biebers a hater,” Diaz posted on Instagram.
So, when the two made up, nobody was happier than Urijah Faber.
“I think he got a little bit of humble pie when he started talking about Nate’s technique because Nate is a savage beast in this sport who has put in so much time and so much effort,” Faber said, FOX Sports reports.
Faber also revealed that he was happy when Diaz and Bieber took pictures together ending their social media feud.
“So, I saw them take a picture together, which I was happy about because I’m a Bieber fan and Diaz is a good friend of mine. I’m glad that Diaz didn’t slap him,” he said.
Bieber has made it known that he loves the sport and also trains for it. So, will he be a good fighter then? Faber seems to have the answer.
“I like that he likes the sport and that other people like the sport. They should. We’re doing battle. We’re gladiators. I appreciate everything they do as well. I loved to be entertained by the entertainment community — it’s mutual respect, for sure,” he said.
“This is all relative to him learning the sport but a guy like that has confidence. That’s the biggest part of our sport, is self-confidence, and self-belief. So, yeah, I think Bieber would be good.”
Faber also believes that Bieber might be “able to kick everyone’s ass.”
So, if in the near future Justin Bieber thinks of joining MMA, then he definitely has Faber’s support.
