Will James Rodriguez leave Real Madrid and land in Old Trafford? The Colombian International may join Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United alongside Paul Pogba.
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is United’s primary transfer target this summer. The Spanish giants Real Madrid are also pursuing the French International. But Red Devils’ new manager Jose Mourinho is confident of bringing back Pogba in Old Trafford, despite the footballer’s agent’s claim that Pogba has held initial talks with Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old midfielder left Manchester United in 2012 as a free agent. Juventus is preparing a lucrative offer in their bid to retain Pogba.
Jose Mourinho and the United are ready to smash the world record transfer amount by offering the mercurial midfielder an astronomical $135.5 million deal, according to the Telegraph.uk. The Serie A outfit, on the other hand, wants to keep Pogba in Turin until 2021 by offering him a two-year extension which includes a boost of his salary of €7 million.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has reportedly set a deadline of the end of July for Pogba’s future to be resolved, as reported by the Sports Rageous on Saturday.
James Rodriguez: Latest addition to Mourinho’s radar?
Colombian star James Rodriguez is also on Mourinho’s radar. United has reportedly initiated a move for the Real Madrid player, according to Spanish daily Marca. The Premiership giants are one of the three clubs who could afford the Colombian. The other two outfits are Paris Saint-Germain and surprisingly West Ham.
Rodriguez has a price tag of €80 million. Veteran Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already completed his summer move to Old Trafford. Mourinho is keen to add more talent to his roster by roping in these two stars.
