“You should be f-cking barred from The Grove” exclaimed Tyson in an interview with TMZ at LAX last week.

According to Tyson, Pacquiao’s comments are totally disrespectful of people’s feelings. The Filipino who is running for the post of senator in his home country previously said that people who engage in same-sex marriage are worse than animals.

“The animals are better. They know how to distinguish, male or female. If we approve male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals,” Pacquiao was quoted as saying in a video released by Interaksyon.

His controversial comments led to him being dropped by Nike.

“We find Manny Pacquiao’s comments abhorrent. Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community,” Nike said in a statement.

“We no longer have a relationship with Manny Pacquiao.”

Rick Caruso, the owner of The Grove, told TMZ in March that Pacquiao’s controversial comments led to him being banned from the mall. Calling the boxer’s comments as “statements of hatred”, Caruso said that many people from the gay community come to The Grove and Tyson’s presence will make them uncomfortable.

“These are statements of hatred. A lot of people from the gay community come to The Grove and they have a right not to feel uncomfortable,” Caruso said.

He also indicated that he would prefer if the boxer does not show his presence in the mall. Meanwhile, Pacquiao has hinted that he will continue visiting the place as it is a “public space available for everybody”.

Pacquiao is scheduled to fight Timothy Bradley this Saturday In Las Vegas.
