Saints blowout confused Raiders in 38-17 win
After winning back to back games against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Kansas City Chiefs, the Oakland Raiders have lost three games in a row after Sundays’ loss to the New Orleans Saints.
After the game, Raiders’ owner Mark Davis spoke with the San Francisco Chronicle about the changes that need to be made. “I apologize to the fans,” he said. “I’m embarrassed for ‘em. Because they live and die as Raiders fans, and I feel for ‘em. … I feel the same way. I’m a fan. And I take responsibility for it, gonna get it right.”
The Raiders’ defense couldn’t cover any of the Saints receivers and failed to contain quarterback Drew Brees.
Brees finished with 20-27 completions, 219 yards, and three touchdowns. Brees’ quarterback rating this game was a whopping 134.6.
In the opening drive, Brees found tight end Jimmy Graham for a touchdown. Next, Malcom Jenkins picked off Carson Palmer for a 55-yard return touchdown. Right before the half, Brees found Lance Moore for a 38 touchdown giving the Saints a 21-7 lead.
After the half, the Saints continued to dominate. Brees found Lance Moore again, according to SB Nation.
In the Raiders’ last three games, they have given up a total of 135 points.
