Jose Mourinho’s hasn’t signed the contract as Manchester United manager yet, but rumors are growing louder that the Portuguese has already targeted few stars for rebuilding the Manchester United roster according to his style of game. Veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Harry Kane and John Stones are in Mourinho’s radar.
Tottenham Hotspurs’ Harry Kane and Everton’s defender John Stones are in Mourinho’s wishlist, according to the ESPN.
Kane was instrumental in destroying Mourinho’s Chelsea 5-3 at White Hart Lane last season. Stones also featured in the maverick manager’s wishlist last summer. Mourinho is eager to land both the players at Old Trafford before taking charge.
And Jose Mourinho has approved the idea of signing veteran Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer. The Red Devils are the only Premiership side to have pitched an offer for the controversial Ibrahimovic. The 34-year-old Swede is out of contract currently at Paris Saint Germain.
The United tried to rope in German International Mats Hummels in 2014. The German World Cup winner has now hinted that he might leave Borussia Dortmund this summer.
“I don’t necessarily want to [leave], but I have to make a big decision. I have been back and forth a lot,” he told Bild .
“Age gives you a feeling that you don’t have forever to win. I realise in every year I don’t win a title, I’m closer to retiring.”
Will the United try to sign Hummels this season? Mourinho isn’t reportedly interested as of now. But the Portuguese manager expects Renato Sanches to join him once he lands at Old Trafford.
