English Premier League (EPL) giant Manchester United have reportedly found their next David De Gea in Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Red Devils are interested to sign the 17-year-old goalkeeper who has already established himself as a regular first-team player in AC Milan.
However, Milan are said to be offering the player a new deal to repeal interest from United. Chelsea manager Anotonio Conte is also impressed by the young goalkeeper and is reportedly willing to make an approach next summer for the player, according to Sporting Mediaset.
AC Milan wants to offer Donnarumma a contract of $214,848-a-year. But, this could be too less for a player who has been hyped up to be the next Gianluigi Buffon.
Another interesting link for Donnarumma to Manchester United is his agent. Mino Raiola, who brokered the move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba to Old Trafford this summer also manages the man from Castellammare di Stabia, Italy.
Meanwhiler, United target Jose Fonte has revealed that he is committed to Southampton despite his link with the Red Devils towards the later stages of the summer transfer window. The 32-year-old has mentioned that he is still keen to fight for top honors in club football.
“Was I disappointed the Man United move didn’t happen? Let’s leave that for another time. Now I’m focused on Southampton.” Fonte said, as reported by Mirror.
On another news, Atletico Madrid winger, Antoine Griezmann has insisted that he will only consider leaving his present club if manager Diego Simeone decides to quit. The France international has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United next summer despite him committing his long-term future at Vicente Calderon by signing a new contract.
“The only doubt would be if Simeone leaves for PSG” Griezmann said.
