Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez set for Arsenal exit transfer news latest update

English Premier League (EPL) club Arsenal are set to offer new contracts to both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to extend their stay at the Emirates Stadium. Both the players are expected to accept the new deal as they look to help the Gunners fight for the Premier League title in 2016-17.

The pair are poised for news deals, with both Sanchez’s and Ozil’s contract expiring in 2018, as reported by Steve Stammers of Mirror. This is opposed to the belief early summer which linked Ozil to exit the club following their unability to fight for top honors, according to Matt Hughes of the Times. Sanchez was also linked to a $45 million move to Juventus, but the transfer did not materialize.

Both the players are now committed to Arsenal’s cause and will reportedly add three more years to their current deal. The 27-year-old Ozil is encouraged to stay at the Emirates after international teammate Shkodran Mustafi arrived at the club this summer.

The news will be huge for the Gunners as both the players are extremely important to manager Arsene Wenger’s plans. Both offer the creative verve and goal scoring threat which the other players in the Arsenal squad lack.

Ozil’s 19 assists in the Premier League last season was the best contribution by a No. 10. He was followed by Dimitri Payet of West Ham United, who had 13 assists.

Sanchez moved to Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014 for a transfer fee of $46.43 million. He has formed an amazing partnership with Ozil and has contributed in scoring 30 goals in 69 appearances for the club. He has also registered 13 assists, according to
