Real Madrid Transfer: Chelsea eye midfielder next summer; Casemiro set to bring back midfield stability

English Premier League (EPL) club Chelsea looks to get back amongst the elites in the Premier League next season. They have already started looking into the players they would love to have tearing the pitch at Stamford Bridge. One of them would be Real Madrid’s defensive midfielder Casemiro.

The 24-year-old Casemiro hails from Brazil and has failed to nail a place at Real Madrid’s first team regularly despite having some impressive performances. He spent a year-long loan last season at Portugal’s FC Porto where he made his statement as a prime-time footballer, according to Metro.

With top-quality midfielders in the Real Madrid squad like Toni Kroos and Luca Modric, it surely has been touch for the Brazilian midfielder to break into the first team. Hence, Casemiro want to leave Madrid and head towards Chelsea, where he believes of finding better game time, as reported by OkDiaro.

Chelsea currently has Nemanja Matic playing in defensive midfield. After having a fantastic season in 2014-15 which lead the Blues to the Premier League title, the Serbian has been off-color like much of his teammates this season. Casemiro can certainly come to add some much needed stability in midfield which Chelsea urgently craves.

Casemiro has been under Chelsea’s radar for some time now. When Jose Mourinho was in charge of Stamford Bridge, the Portuguese wanted to bring in the Brazilian. However, the club from London wants to make it a reality next summer.
