Soccer Rumors: Cristiano Ronaldo to play for PSG after 2016 Champions League

Rumors have been circulating with the Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo who was said to be playing for the Paris Saint-Germain after the 2016 Champions League.

According to AS, after Real Madrid won against Wolfsburg in the second leg of their match where Ronaldo established a hat-trick for the team’s victory, there had been a meeting between the President of Paris Saint-Germain FC Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the Real Madrid star.

Ronaldo flew via private jet from Torrejon airport to Paris to meet the PSG owner. It was also said in the previous report that Al-Klelaifi had a strong interest in having Ronaldo and Neymar to be the future franchise player of their team.

Though details had not been revealed what was discussed at their meeting, it was surely about PSG owner’s interest in the Real Madrid star.

On a previous report, PSG’s current striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic expressed his intention to leave the team when his contract expires at the end of the season wherein he said that Manchester United was interested in getting his service for the Premier League.

This means that the PSG was serious in filling up the space that Ibrahimovic will leave upon contract expiry. Adding Ronaldo in their team will give a big boost especially in the offensive end.

It seemed like Ronaldo was the bread and butter of the Real Madrid so it will be a big loss for them if the Real Madrid star will choose to play for another team.

In the first leg between Wolfsburg and Real Madrid, many had noticed the lack of fire power in Real Madrid’s defensive end and if Ronaldo did not step up in the second leg, they will not be the one who will enter the Champions League semifinals.

Chances of getting Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid will have a higher possibility if Real Madrid will not get the championship title in the recent Champions League tournament. Ronaldo might be looking for a more competitive team who had more defense capability than his current team.
