Barack Obama Plays More Golf than Tiger Woods Claims Trump

US Presidential candidate Donald Trump has created quite a controversy with his speeches especially with his Anti-Muslim remarks. However, if sticking to political topics wasn’t enough, he has now dragged sports into his ‘dirty politics’ too.

Earlier this week Trump took a dig at US President Barack Obama once again. But here is the catch, he has dragged golfer Tiger Woods into the picture to prove his point against Obama.

It seems that Trump is not pleased with President Obama’s golf tactics and says that Obama spends more time playing golf. In fact, playing it more than Tiger Woods when there are serious issues to be dealt with in the world.

Fox Sports reports Trump saying, “It was reported today he played 250 rounds of golf and he’s going to be in Hawaii, I think did they say for three weeks?. Two hundred and fifty rounds, that’s more than a guy who plays in the PGA Tour plays. He played more golf last year than Tiger Woods. We don’t have time for this. We have to work.”

Trump made the comments during a rally on Monday in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The real estate mogul further said: “I don’t have time for that. I love golf, I think it’s one of the greats, but I don’t have time.”

Trump is himself a golf course developer and his real estate holdings include 17 golf courses in the United States and worldwide.

According to a CNN report published in August, Obama was indeed closing in on 250 rounds of golf since taking Oval office, but according to the Pulitzer Prize-winning fact checkers PolitiFact, Obama has taken far less vacation than his predecessor, George W. Bush. Obama also has a long way to go to catch the No. 1 Golfer-in-Chief of United States considering  Woodrow Wilson played nearly 1,200 rounds during his two terms.

As far as Trump’s claims regarding Woods is concerned, he might indeed be true. The 14-time major winner struggled with his in 2015 and logged only 34 competitive rounds.
