Pacquiao still on the receiving end of criticisms as part of the fallout on his remarks on same-sex marriage.

Manny Pacquiao continues to receive punch after punch from criticial netizens after the issue on his recent statement on same-sex marriage boiled over on social media.

Pacquiao was quoted, saying: “The animals are better. They know how to distinguish, male or female. If we approve male on male, female on female, then man is worse than animals” in a video released by Interaksyon.

The eight-division world champion was rained on with criticisms on his allegedly insensitive remarks, but he took to social media to defend his statements in the said video:

“I rather [sic] obey the Lord’s command than obeying the desires of the flesh. Im [sic] not condemning anyone, but I’m just telling the truth of what the Bible says. The truth from the Bible is what changed me from my old ways,” said Pacquiao in a post on Twitter.

Users on the social media website Twitter continued to fire back at Pacquiao, with some using some bible verses to also prove their point on Pacquiao:

Despite the remarks made by other netizens, some Twitter users came to the aid of Pacman and admired his honesty:
