Nick Young insists he should still be a Nike endorser

Nick Young’s contract with Nike ran out. And as any player would have it, he was between sponsors. Reebok, Fila and others were lining up for him.

“At the time I didn’t have nobody. I was thinking of all kind of shoes I could wear,” he said in an interview with Sole Collector.

Nick even went out to say that he broke out pairs of Fila Grant Hills and Reebok Answers. And finally this past December, Young signed with Adidas.

And now, Nick has made some eye-opening revelations about Nike. Nike’s penchant for exclusivity is what forced him to sign with Adidas.

“Nike is really only three people: Kobe, Durant and LeBron. I like the concept of how adidas adds everybody in their shoe commercial,” Nick said.

“The way adidas is going and the waves they’ve got, I was getting on board.”

Kanye West was also one of the reasons why Nick signed with Adidas. “That helped adidas out a trillion times. And of course I asked for the whole Kanye collection. Bring me everything,” he said.

Young even wore the Kanye-designed shoes. He wore the shoes at a game on December 12 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
