Rousey vs Holm Rematch Confirmed for UFC 200?

With Holm-Rousey fight getting one of the biggest crowd draws in the history of MMA, fight fans have started a huge clamor when they would see both fighters back in the octagon. The questions ‘who will they face?’ or better yet ‘when is the rematch?’ had been in conversations of every MMA fan and only some can speculate.

Holm’s manager, Lenny Fresquez, is already eager to see his client move on to the next fight but highly doubts that Rousey will be available as late as July of 2016.

“I’m not sure Ronda will be ready for a July fight,” Holm’s manager Lenny Fresquez told Los Angeles Times.

“She took a severe beating and I don’t think it’s in her best interest to take the next fight so fast. They told me she’s been ready and cleared, but…”

Fresquez suggested that the long due promise of Dana White to #1 contender, Meisha Tate, should be fulfilled and its a fight that they are willing to accept.

“Holly’s used to staying active,” Fresquez said. “We’re from the old school and we believe the No. 1 contender is there for a reason. … [Tate] deserves a shot, but it’s not for me to decide.”

UFC CEO, Dana White, got the news that Fresquez had been speculating about Holm and Rousey.

“We’re real concerned with his opinion,” White said in in a sarcastic tone.

“Ronda is the fiercest competitor I have ever met in my life and she’s also very proud,” White said. “What made the world love Ronda is that Ronda absolutely 100% knew she was not going to lose. People rallied around this powerful female figure.”

White seemed to be insisting that Holm would not fight again until Ronda Rousey has her jaw fully recovered and he is quite positive that Ronda will come out stronger than before.

“Ronda’s never lost a fight,” said White. “She will overcome it and be back. She got clipped, stayed in there and tried to fight through it. She told me she was in there, she was rocked, and she’d never been rocked like that before. And the things that were going on in her head – what she was doing – she’d never been in that situation.”
