A long time feud between television personalities Skip Bayless and Troy Aikman may have gotten to a boiling point because of recent reports that Fox Sports signed in Skip Bayless to the company. The former Cowboys quarterback Aikman, who has worked for Fox Sports for the last 15 years, is obviously not happy about the move. People may expect a Bayless, Aikman feud to a whole new level.
“To say I’m disappointed in the hiring of Skip Bayless would be an enormous understatement,” Aikman said in an interview with Sports Illustrated. “Clearly, Jamie Horowitz and I have a difference of opinion when it comes to building a successful organization. I believe success is achieved by acquiring and developing talented, respected and credible individuals, none of which applies to Skip Bayless.”
So what’s the real deal between the two? According to Outsports, Aikman is still mad at the rumors that Bayless started when he was just a columnist for the Dallas Morning News. Bayless, in a book he wrote over 20 years ago, said without actual proof that Aikman is gay. Aikman addressed the issue and called Bayless’ assertion ‘made up’ and ‘he did it, as he does everything, just for attention’.
Bayless, on the other hand, also commented about the issue and was quoted saying, “My only regret about the book is that it does not say that Aikman is gay. I had no idea and nor do I care to this day.”
Reports say that Aikman has decided to stay with Fox even though Bayless moves in. This only makes the Bayless, Aikman feud even more interesting.
