UFC 2015: How Much Do Fighters Earn? Overeem Salary Revealed

In the recently concluded fight card of UFC on Fox 17 which was held in the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida – Rafael Dos Anjos and Nate Diaz was the top fighters who had the most spotlight in the media after their wins with their respective opponents. But sometimes, money is everything and it was heavyweight contender Alstair Overeem that came out with the fattest wallet out of the pack.

The upset win by Overeem over Junior dos Santos already made him the richest fighter among the card at $342,857 but the additional $200,000 fighter bonus made him $542,857 richer. His opponent Junior dos Santos was able to take home $400,000. The win of Overeem made him one of the top contenders for the UFC Heavyweight Championship which is currently held by Fabricio Werdum.

The UFC lightweight champion, Rafael dos Anjos netted $300,000 and would probably had his biggest pay day in 2016 as the fight between him and Conor McGregor is starting to brew.

Another lightweight contender, Nate Diaz took home $40,000. Diaz is also known to call out McGregor to fight him at the lightweight before battling the champion – Rafael dos Anjos.

On top of their reported commission salaries, the fighters – dos Anjos, Diaz, Johnson, and under card winner Vicente Luque became $50,000 richer due to their fight night bonuses for their overwhelming performances.
