UFC 2015: Michael Bisping Has Some Advice for Anderson Silva, Asks to ‘leave the viagra’

By on

Trash talks ahead of fights are a common thing in the UFC. Conor McGregor did so before his UFC 194 fight to Jose Aldo and the latest to continue the practice is Michael Bisping.

Bisping however is no stranger to trash talks ahead of his fights. But within minutes of UFC announcing his next match with Anderson Silva, Bisping fired the first salvo at Silva and taunted the former middleweight champion.

When UFC President Dana White announced that Bisping would next fight Silva in London on Feb 27, Bisping took to Twitter to fire a barb at Silva and wrote: “@SpiderAnderson see you in London my friend! Just leave the viagra out of it! #randomtesting.”

The comment is a pinching taunt to Silva who was suspended for testing positive for banned substances in his last fight.

Fox Sports reports that in his hearing before the Nevada State Athletic Commission in August, the Brazilian claimed that a tainted sexual enhancement product from Thailand was given to him by a friend leading to his testing positive in a pair of drug tests given both before and after his UFC 183 fight with Nate Diaz.

Silva in his hearing said that the drug was similar to Viagra or Cialis and was not available for purchase in the United States. It was bought in Thailand and brought to him at a later date by a friend. Needless to say, the commission didn’t buy his claim and he tested positive for two separate performance-enhancing drugs in the tests conducted by the commission.

The former middleweight champion was subsequently suspended for one year and his first with Bisping will be his first since the suspension.

The fight between Bisping and Silva will be a five round main event and will air live and exclusive on UFC Fight Pass on Feb 27 next year.
