The second half of NBA regular season action has not resumed yet, but the buzz online is still focused squarely on the Verizon Slam Dunk contest on All Star Saturday between Aaron Gordon and eventual champion Zach LaVine.
Both men churned out a heart-stopping performance, but LaVine made a re-interpretation of a Michael Jordan and “Dr. J” Julius Erving classic free throw line dunk, combined with a signature Dominique Wilkins windmill jam in one-go to earn the crowd and the judges’ perfect 50-point nod.
