UFC champion Daniel Cormier is a certified WWE fan and he aired out his suggestion and comments about the upcoming SummerSlam 2016. He is not sold with Brock Lesnar taking on Randy Orton.
Cormier together with Lesnar was victorious against separate rivals in last weekend’s UFC 200 held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Cormier was supposed to fight Jon Jones for the undisputed light heavyweight division but was flagged by USADA for possible anti-doping violation. Instead of Jones, Cormier fought against Anderson Silva, who accepted the fight on a 48-hours notice, and won via unanimous decision.

Lesnar, on the other hand, fought against Mark Hunt in the heavyweight division and won via unanimous decision as well. Cormier noted that Lesnar should be given a title fight rather than babysitting for the comeback of Randy Orton. Cormier added that Lesnar has beaten one of the top 10 heavyweights in the UFC, which makes him unstoppable, and yet he is not given a title shot at the WWE.
“I think I’d make him more unbeatable. In WWE they call him the ‘conqueror’, the ‘beast incarnate’, you know, he can’t be beaten. I’d make him more unstoppable now because he just did something that I’m not sure anyone else over there can do. He came in and beat a top ten heavyweight, so you just make him more unstoppable. I say to hell with Randy Orton, and throw the belt on him again, because it legitimizes it because of what he did tonight,” Cormier said in an interview about Lesnar’s appearance at this year’s SummerSlam.

For Cormier, Orton does not stand a chance against Lesnar, who has shown what he is made of during his fight against Hunt. Cormier added that Lesnar would only hurt Orton when they tangle inside the ring on Aug. 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Cormier added that the WWE needs to overhaul its fight card for SummerSlam and give Lesnar a title shot.
Orton is making his comeback after undergoing a shoulder surgery back in Feb. and has been cleared by the WWE doctors after reporting to the WWE Performance Center, where he had his training for the bout against Lesnar. Orton has been out of WWE action since his shoulder surgery back in December and hints of his comeback has been swirling as he will be seen advertised in some WWE live events leading to SummerSlam.

For Cormier, Lesnar deserves a better fight card rather than taking on Orton. He hopes that the WWE would reconsider changing the bout and pit Lesnar to a more exciting bout come SummerSlam.
