Tennessee Titans receiver Kendall Wright to miss remainder of preseason
Tennessee Titans wider receiver Kendall Wright will miss the rest of the preseason with a sprained right knee.
The good news is that there was initial concern that Wright may have torn his ACL, so a knee sprain is much easier on the ears of the Titans and their fans than “torn ACL.”
“It is difficult, no doubt,” coach Mike Munchak said on Sunday, according to The Tennessean. “He is excited about his second year, excited about our offense, has a great feel for what we are doing. … Hopefully we’ll have him back with the season starts.”
The Tennessean also notes that Wright led the team in receptions last year as a rookie and has been the team’s best receiver in training camp. Kenny Britt, the team’s usual number one guy, is still being held out with swelling and soreness in his surgically repaired knee, according to NFL.com.
With Wright out for now, Damian Williams, Nate Washington, rookie Justin Hunter and Michael Preston will see increased reps.
