Tiger back in the hunt
Tiger Woods is usually the only golfer anyone really cares about until the fourth day of any event. By then, if he’s not in the top five, the attention turns towards whomever is in the lead. That was actually not the case before the 2012 PGA Championship started. Yet Tiger was able to turn that into a positive. He is now tied for 2nd place after day 2.
Even though Tiger hasn’t been winning events, he has slowly come back to old form, competing every time he enters an event. The PGA Championship is no different as Tiger shoots for his 15th major championship win. The big difference between struggling Tiger and successful Tiger is how he does on the greens. Friday proved that by hitting a very tough 18-foot shot on hole 3 to save par and also sank a 40-foot put for a birdie.
The only person ahead of Tiger is Carl Pattersson who is still currently golfing and is 1-over after 9-holes. Woods is tied with Vijay Signh for second.
