UFC on Fox 2 preview- Evans vs. Davis

UFC will be live on Fox this Saturday night. This is the second UFC on Fox special. The fight card has three fights scheduled, including the main event that has Rashard Evans facing Phil Davis. The co- main event has Chael Sonnen taking on Michael Bisping. The first match of the evening will be Demian Maia against Chris Weidman.

According to UFC.com, Evans has a record of 21-1-1. Davis has an undefeated record of 9-0. Evans is deadly with his takedown style offense while Davis is seen as more of a wrestler. A win for Davis would lead to a fight with light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Jones and Davis are former teammates but are now bitter rivals. Davis has a four inch reach advantage over Evans.

Chael Sonnen and Michael Bisping face off with the opportunity to face middleweight champion Anderson Silva if one of them can pull out a victory. Sonnen’s wrestling ability will prevent Bisping from opening up with more strikes. Sonnen is the favorite in the matchup but Bisping is very capable of pulling off a victory.

UFC on Fox will have three fights this time around as when the first show aired on Fox there was only one fight that lasted under 60 seconds. According to MMAJunkie.com, 8.8 million viewers watched Junior Dos Santos become the new UFC Heavyweight Champion as he defeated Cain Velasquez.

If UFC can deliver another knockout punch on Fox this Saturday it will advance the sport of ultimate fighting to new levels.
