For Triple H, he was last seen at the 2016 Royal Rumble match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, as the unannounced 30th entrant. For the draft night the WWE has laid out the rules and guidelines in the draft and it includes Raw has the first overall pick; since SmackDown Live is a two-hour show and Raw is three hours, for every two picks SmackDown Live receives, Raw will receive three picks; tag teams count as one pick unless a Commissioner/General Manager specifically only wants one member of the team; and six draft picks will be made on the NXT roster.

The WWE sees Roman Reigns, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and of course any other current reigning champions, as well as NXT talents looking to be called up to be drafted quickly at the start of the event. It will be an interesting night for the WWE locker room as it will mean the split of the brands as SmackDown goes live as well.
