WWE Rumors: Update on the backstage fight between Brock Lesnar and Chris Jericho

The main event match at WWE SummerSlam 2016 shockingly ended via technical knockout after Brock Lesnar brutally busted Randy Orton wide open. According to the latest WWE rumors, Lesnar got into another fight backstage against Chris Jericho.

The ending for the Lesnar vs. Orton match was very controversial since The Viper was bleeding profusely. It was very hard to watch as The Beast continued on beating on Orton’s head despite the referees and officials trying to stop him.

According to Ringside News, the TKO finish and Brock Lesnar hitting the F5 on Shane McMahon was all part of the plan. Even Randy Orton getting busted open the hard way was planned but the WWE did not expect to see him bled like that.

Apparently, the superstars at the back were not told about the finish and they were very concerned regarding Orton’s well-being. One of those superstars is Chris Jericho, who came into the gorilla position and asked Michael Hayes if that finish was planned.

Hayes did not answer Jericho’s question which prompted Y2J to say, “That’s bullshit.” Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that Lesnar heard it and thought that Jericho was talking about his match with Orton.

Meltzer mentioned Jericho and Lesnar had a shoving match and had to be separated by people at the back. The two stars were also shouting at each other leading to Vince McMahon and Triple H to help in calming Lesnar and Jericho.

McMahon reportedly told Jericho to be a professional while Triple H defended him, saying that Lesnar started the fight. Nevertheless, Y2J was just concerned about his friend but Orton assured him that he knew he will get busted up and was up for it.
