Bray Wyatt is frustrated with the direction of The Wyatt Family on WWE television. “The Eater of Worlds” blasted the WWE creative in a recent appearance on Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast during WrestleMania 32 weekend in Dallas.
“We were so different that I don’t think the company knew even how to use us. ‘What are these things?’ Like, we were so different and in the promos [and] so different in the way we looked and how we moved. We were big and we would fly and do all this crazy stuff. Like, I don’t think anyone expected us to be so complete. And they still don’t know how to use what we are,” Wyatt said.
No Direction For The Wyatt Family
The Wyatt Family was on fire when they debuted on the WWE main roster last 2013. However, the WWE has not used the backwoods stable very well in the past several years. Their momentum was halted when he lost to John Cena at WrestleMania 30.
He also faced The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 and lost which was okay, but The Wyatt Family also lost their feud against The Brothers of Destruction last year that should have been used to elevate the stable as the new “faces of fear.”
Bray and the rest of the family did not have any advertised match at WrestleMania 32, but they were used to put over a part-timer in The Rock and an established superstar in John Cena. The WWE should have used at least protected Bray Wyatt by letting Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman take the beating.
The 28-year-old wrestler also talked about his first gimmick in the WWE which was “Husky Harris.” For those who do not know, he was once a part of the Nexus stable.
“In the beginning, where all of this came from, is when I thrown away like a piece of trash, like, years and years ago. I’m sure you can figure out what I’m talking about. I was thrown away like a piece of trash,” Wyatt said.
Brock Lesnar Feud
As mentioned in a previous report, The Wyatt Family was supposed to enter a feud with Brock Lesnar. However, those plans were scrapped for WrestleMania but expect it sometime in the future.
“Me and Brock Lesnar are going to meet. And this is the only way I can put this, me and Brock Lesnar will meet down the line. It will mean something and I’m going to give him my soul and my body, and, hopefully, he doesn’t kill me, but if he does, then, so be it,” Wyatt said.
