World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fans are eagerly anticipating the return of Seth Rollins. The 29-year-old has been out of action ever since he underwent reconstructive surgery in November, last year to repair his ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus tears in his right knee. The world champion is slated for return in WWE SummerSlam 2016.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion could be involved in one of the feature matches of the night. That match may also involve the World Heavyweight title, considering Rollins never lost it legitimately in the first place. It is being reported that the former Shield member is ready to make a comeback to the WWE television anytime now, but his commitment to other projects is delaying his return, as reported by business2community.com.
Presently, champion Roman Reigns and AJ Styles are fighting it out for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the company is planning to include Seth Rollins into the feud. A Triple Threat match featuring the three superstars will be mouthwatering for the fans and will potentially highlight the pay-per-view (PPV).
Rollins is currently filming “Temple” by WWE Studios and soon after it’s wrap-up, “The Architect” is expected to return. “Temple” is written by Matt Savelloni and directed by John Stockwell, who is famous for “In The Blood”. The movie centers around a team of trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound. The Artificial Intelligence of the compound suddenly shuts down and then the group begins to experience a horrific phenomenon.
Seth Rollins was the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion when he injured himself in a match with Kane during the company’s European tour. Rollins was forced to relinquish his title, thus ending his 220-day reign.
