WWE Clash of Champions rumors and updated match card after the Sept. 12 edition of Raw

WWE Clash of Champions is less than two weeks away and there are already four official matches. Here are latest rumors and updated match card for Monday Night Raw’s first brand-exclusive event since the main roster was split into two.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship

The main event of WWE Clash of Champions remained a one-on-one match between WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and No. 1 contender Seth Rollins. Owens defeated Roman Reigns this week on Raw with a little help from Rusev.

Nevertheless, the first feud for the WWE Universal title is going to be an exciting one. Owens and Rollins are two of the best wrestlers in the world right now and they will surely have a match of the year candidate.

The New Day vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson for the Raw Tag Team Championships

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson got the upper hand on The New Day this week on Raw. They defeated the world famous two-time champs in a non-title match. According to a report by Cageside Seats last week, the record-breaking reign of The New Day as champions will come to an end at WWE Clash of Champions.

Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Championship

Sasha Banks defeated Bayley and Dana Brooke in this week’s Raw to officially become the No. 1 contender for Charlotte’s Raw Women’s Championship. It should be noted that Brooke has turned face after getting dumped by Charlotte.

According to Daily DDT, the WWE might still alter the title match since there is one more Raw before WWE Clash of Champions. The report opined that the match might become a Fatal 4-Way with Bayley and Dana Brooke getting added next week.

Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn

There were several reports that Chris Jericho will be involved with Roman Reigns at WWE Clash of Champions but it’s not going to happen. Jericho is going to go one-on-one with Sami Zayn at Raw’s first exclusive event.

SmackDown Live’s WWE Backlash last Sunday had six matches so WWE Clash of Champions will likely have the same number of matches. Here are some of the possible matches that might get added to the match card.

Rusev vs. Roman Reigns for the United States Championship

Despite being rumored to be on his honeymoon for a month, U.S. champ Rusev returned on Raw this week. He cost Reigns a shot at the Universal title before proceeding to attack him after the match. The feud between Rusev and Reigns did not have payoff so it’s really good to see some continuity in the WWE.

Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox

Nia Jax’s first match in the main roster that is not against a jobber ended in No Contest. Alicia Fox is back to her crazy character and a possible match against Nia at WWE Clash of Champions could be in the works.

Cesaro vs. Sheamus Match No. 7 of their Best of Seven Series

Sheamus is currently up 3-2 against Cesaro with Match No. 6 expected to happen next week on Raw. It is a little obvious that there will be a Match No.7 at WWE Clash of Champions with The Swiss Superman favored to win and complete his comeback.
