World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has always looked at WrestleMania to give unlikely debuts to many of its superstars. This allows the company to gain maximum exposure on its future stars. Although Lana may be a popular face on WWE television, she has never wrestled in a ring. WrestleMania 32 may just be the platform for her to jump start her in ring career.
It is in Orlando, Florida where WWE has its performance center located. The performance center acts as the official wrestling school of the company. Lana was recently seen at the building training, giving indication of her in ring debut, as reported by PWIndider.com.
Used mostly as an eye candy on television opposite to real-life fiancé Rusev and sometimes opposite to Dolph Ziggler, WWE has suddenly brought Lana on top of their priority list. Given her recent on screen tussles with Brie Bella, it is being speculated that Daniel Bryan’s wife will be her opponent at the Grand Daddy of Them All.
Brie Bella isn’t one of the top in the company’s Divas division; however her association with the crowd favorite Daniel Bryan gives her some steam. It has to be noted that Lana is not a proved in ring worker. Hence, pitting her against a character whose wrestling days seem to be limited, given her husband’s recent retirement from professional wrestling seems to be a smart move made by WWE, according to Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
“The Ravishing Russian” Lana has the potential to be the leader of WWE’s Divas division. A stunning beauty who has experience of being a model and an actress before will give the company a public figure who is closer to the mainstream media.
If the given potential can be tapped, WWE is set to get its next big female superstar at WrestleMania 32. However, only time will tell if Lana can reach her complete potential.
