World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Adam Rose has come in front of public for the first time since his 60-day suspension owing to the violation of the company’s wellness policy for the second time. The former Social Outcasts’ member said that he and his doctor were ‘appalled’ and shocked by the suspension.
“I was not going to respond to my suspension but I feel I have to. I have two sons that will one day read that news about their daddy and a sister that died from complications related to a life long battle with heroin.” Rose said on his official Twitter account.
He went on to mention that this reaction will tantamount to a career suicide. However, due to the love for his family and the WWE Universe, Rose felt the need to share the truth. The 36-year-old stressed on the fact that he never did anything wrong knowingly and all of his medications were prescribed by the doctor and according to protocol.
“I will also quote my Dr in my response as he was shocked and appalled by this suspension.” Rose added.
The man from Johannesburg, South Africa had been with the WWE since 2010 and made his name under the gimmick Leo Krugger in the company’s developmental program, Florida Championship Wrestling. Despite having sympathy from the WWE Universe for having an ill son with a birth defect, the creative chose not to offer him a major push.
Until he was suspended, Rose was a regular member of the Social Outcasts stable pairing along with Heath Slater, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. However, Rose may not return to the company under the same stable since Viktor, another half of The Ascension joined the stable recently.
There has been no official response from the WWE since Rose’s statement.
