WWE News: Mick Foley reveals reason behind HOF absence

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famer Mick Foley was not present at the 2016 Hall of Fame ceremony which happened at Dallas, Texas on the night before WrestleMania 32. The reason behind Foley’s absence was revealed later and it stated that “Mankind” took permission from Vince McMahon to attend the World Wrestling Network (WWN) Supershow to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Terry Funk.

However, there was a condition which Foley attached before attending WWN’s Supershow. He wanted to make sure that Funk was unaware of his presence at the event. “Dude Love” was given permission by Vince McMahon to skip the WWE Hall of Fame 2016 ceremony, as reported by PWInsider.

Foley also asked WWN to release the segment on YouTube. The segment will also feature another wrestling legend, Sabu.

Despite missing the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, Foley did make an appearance at WrestleMania 32. He got involved in a segment which featured “Mr. WrestleMania” Shawn Michaels and the “Texas Rattlesnake” Stone Cold Steve Austin. The trio took on the League of Nations featuring Wade Barrett, Rusev, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio.

Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold then had some funny time with The New Day. However, it didn’t go well for Xavier Woods as the 29-year-old was on the receiving end of a Stunner while trying to motivate Steve Austin to dance.

All three WWE legends then enjoyed some beer time in the ring as they left the WrestleMania crowd at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas in a jubilant mood.
