WWE News on Natalya, Sasha Banks and Women’s Title heading to SummerSlam

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) creative team has come up with a plan regarding Natalya and how to use her against the current Women’s Champion, Charlotte. The creative team wants to keep Charlotte as the Women’s Champion until SummerSlam and then set up a match with Sasha Banks where Banks will take away the championship from Ric Flair’s daughter.

According to backstage rumors, the company will pit Natalya against Charlotte at the two upcoming pay-per-views Payback on May 1st and Extreme Rules on May 22nd. However, Natalya will win neither of the matches thus keeping the title safe for Sasha Banks to capture at SummerSlam, according to wrestkinginc.com.

The original plan which was laid by the WWE creative was to make Banks become the champion at WrestleMania 32 and then carry on the feud with Charlotte at Payback and Extreme Rules. However, those were led to rest when Becky Lynch was added to the mix, which turned out to be an excellent decision given the high quality match the three wrestlers gifted the crowd that evening.

Sasha Banks is the current crowd favorite and Vince McMahon wants to see her become the next WWE Women’s Champion. To keep Banks strong until SummerSlam, she will be kept off the title picture and Natalya will be introduced in the scene as filler.

Natalya is being pushed heavily by the company for now, as was seen on the last episode of RAW where she made the current champion tap out. However, the move went unnoticed as Papa Flair got involved. Natalya won the match, via disqualification, but was unable to win the belt.
