After all the debacle with the Alberto Del Rio departure, Saraya-Jade Bevis, who is more commonly known as Paige, suffered another setback in her WWE career with the wrestling company slapping a sixty-day suspension on the two-time Divas Champion. The decision was announced early Monday for her second violation of the WWE’s talent wellness policy this year. A Tweet was also shared by the wrestling company.
Many would remember that Paige had already received sanctions in August for her first violation of the wellness policy. Although, Paige insisted that she did not fail any of the drug tests sharing on social media that her suspension was “merely due to a procedural issue.” Nonetheless, she received a 30-day suspension along with her boyfriend, Del Rio, who is also suspected to have left the WWE due to threats by the company to release Paige should the two did not end their relationship.
Paige defended by father in statement
Paige’s father, Ricky Knight took to Facebook to share a statement to defend his daughter, in light of the second suspension.
“Ok here we go again yes I know about my daughters suspended once again she has not failed a drugs test,” said Knight on Facebook in defense of Paige. “My daughter has had a long term neck injury which imo has not been dealt with. “I feel my daughter has been let down big time in the USA and the proper care and advice needed in the position she has been in has not happened to say I am pissed off with the situation is an understatement, this is my statement I am not open to questions thank you for your cooperation.”
Paige also took to Twitter to vent her own frustrations taking jabs at the policy of the WWE even saying “same s—t different day. Kids… Please don’t get prescriptions,” in one of her Tweets.
Whether or not Paige really did break any of the WWE’s wellness policies, the fact still remains that Paige should now be more careful with her health and her career IF she still wants to remain with the wrestling company.
For the record, a third violation will result in the release of the Diva from the WWE.
