“2K Sports has carved out a sizable niche as somewhat of an olive branch which facilitates return talks and bring video game fantasies to life,” shared Forbes, further pointing towards a possible Goldberg return.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, a deal could even be done between Goldberg and the WWE. Sources further elaborate that “a Goldberg WWE TV return could be happening soon” based on Meltzer’z comments that the wrestler and WWE are at a “very strong discussion stage at worst.”

With Bill Goldberg looking poised and ready for his return to the WWE ring, the next question on everyone’s minds would probably be-who is he going to face?

Bill Goldberg to face Brock Lesnar in WWE return?

And the answer to that is Brock Lesnar.

Current speculation is that the former WCW wrestler is lined up to have a rematch against former the former UFC heavyweight champion, which could happen at WrestleMania 33. These rumors first made its rounds when both Goldberg and Lesnar began appearing in the ads for 2K17 leading fans to believe that the two will make turn gaming into reality by facing each other in the ring.

Goldberg is expected to quell any of the rumors surrounding his possible return when he guests on ESPN’s Off the Top Rope segment this week to talk about WWE 2K17, and hopefully other surprises the wrestler has up his sleeve.

Dave Meltzer seems to believe so.

“Everyone is avoiding the question, but where there’s smoke there’s fire, and Bill Goldberg is going to be on SportsCenter on Wednesday, and he’s going to talk about his relationship with WWE, so there’s something going on,” shared the radio host. “They may already be done for all I know.”
