Daniel Bryan retired from wrestling last February due to multiple head injuries he suffered throughout his career. However, the latest WWE rumors suggest that Bryan might be teasing a comeback following a heated segment with The Miz.
The SmackDown Live general manager said his goodbyes to the wrestling business earlier this year after doctors found a small lesion in his brain. The lesion causes seizures and Bryan has no option but to retire.
In the latest episode of Talking Smack, Daniel Bryan called out The Miz for “wrestling like a coward.” The Intercontinental champion did not like the comment, and he proceeded on blasting his former rival while giving the best promo of his career.
“Let me tell you about a coward. Let me tell you about a guy who tells his WWE fans, people that he loves that he will be back, he promises them, “I promise you, I will be back in one year’s time to claim this (Intercontinental) title.” But you didn’t, Daniel, did you? But I’m the coward. I’m the one who doesn’t love the fans,” The Miz said, as transcribed by Cageside Seats.

Things really got heated and Bryan was visibly emotional but it is simply a worked shoot. The leader of the YES! Movement walked out to end the segment. It has got people talking online and noticed that it was a tease of a possible comeback for Bryan.
However, it should be noted that these are just purely speculative at the moment. Bryan has not been cleared and he has officially retired last February. The heated segment may just be a way to establish The Miz back to the main event scene.
One possible scenario is to have Daniel Bryan call one of his “indie” friends that The Miz mentioned in his promo. Samoa Joe is a perfect star to have Bryan’s back and he will instantly get cheered since the Intercontinental champion is a pure heel.
