Daniel Bryan was scheduled to appear this Friday in a live event at Madison Square Garden. However, he was pulled out from the event as well as at the WrestleMania Axxess and European tour that resulted in a few WWE rumors regarding his status with the company.
“Due to a scheduling conflict, the ceremony to honor former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Bryan on March 25, 2016, has been postponed,” an email to ticketholders said via Uproxx.
According to FanSided, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will be replacing Bryan on WrestleMania Axxess.
Wrestling Inc. reached out to the WWE for some answers on why Bryan was removed from future events. The company replied by saying that the former WWE champion requested some time off and WWE granted it. The report also mentioned that a source within the WWE says that the relationship between the company and Bryan has not changed.
Both sides are still in good terms and Bryan is still under a WWE contract. The bearded superstar retired last Feb. 8 in his hometown of Seattle due to post-concussion symptoms.
Nevertheless, there are still no concrete reports why the 34-year-old retired wrestler wanted some time off. As of now, one of the reported WWE rumors is that his wife Brie Bella is pregnant and will be joining him in retirement.
However, Brie is scheduled to take part on the rumored five-on-five Divas match at WrestleMania 32. She also recently posted a photo on Instagram showing her with Neil Melanson and Mike Chandler of Jaco Hybrid Training Center in Boca Raton, Florida.
The one-time Divas champion is clearly preparing for her possible last WrestleMania match. Brie will likely team up with Alicia Fox, Natalya, Paige and a mystery partner against the team of Lana, Naomi, Tamina, Summer Rae and Emma, per Inside Pulse.
