The feud between John Cena with AJ Styles might by a treasure by accident for the WWE as they might stretch the story line until this year’s SummerSlam that takes place on Aug. 21 at the Barclays Center in New York.
Cena and Styles’s feud started during Memorial Day and by the end of Raw, it was announced that Cena will team up with Enzo Amore and Big Cass against Styles, who will team up with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a six-man tag that will take place at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view. The WWE is trying to see if the people will still pick up the story line and if it does, then it will surely be a long feud to tell.
The WWE sees the feud headlining this year’s SummerSlam if the match at Battleground makes wonders. It has been stated that their second individual’s match will be at SummerSlam. Inquisitr reported that Cena and Styles are booked for a match when SmackDown goes live. The match, which will be the main event, is set for the draft night on July 19 and if it would be successful then the match at SummerSlam will be a rematch.
With that, it is clear that during the draft night Cena together with Styles will banner SmackDown while Raw will be represented by feuding members of The Shield. It was also noted that Cena will win the live show match leaving the results of SummerSlam for fans to figure it out for themselves. With the brand split, it is clear that Cena and Styles are being groomed to feud for a separate world championship title.
Things are shaking up leading to the brand split and to SummerSlam. Cena and Styles will have been in the WWE long and with the way things are shaping up, they will be repaid greatly. Cena will again take the spotlight, even though most of the WWE fans despise him. His feud with Styles proved to be a great story line that will surely not end by the biggest summer party the WWE stages. Some say the feud might headline next year’s Wrestlemania.
