Randy Orton seems to be medically cleared for ring action as he is being billed for a SummerSlam return. Rumors are swirling that he is likely to spark a feud with former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
Wrestlezone noted that Orton has been heavily advertised for WWE live events set this August, thus giving enough speculations that he is already on the road to recovery and is ready for ring action. As per advertised, Orton will be involved in a tag team action though no word has been officially said as to who will he be partnering with and what role he will take in SummerSlam as well.
As part of the advertisement, Orton grants a kid’s dream of appearing with him and believes that he could counter Orton’s RKO signature move. Orton has been out of action from the WWE following a shoulder surgery back in February.
He is also waiting for doctors to clear him for action so that he could start training and preparing for his live events. Orton will also take part in the live draft night at RAW on July 11 and might join the SmackDown locker room which will start airing on July 19.
Meanwhile, Alberto del Rio has not yet been given medical clearance after suffering an injury to his left knee. Del Rio injured his knee in the closing moments of the Money In the Back ladder match. Medical personnel managed to check on him immediately after the match and were helped out by two other referees to bring him backstage before he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Dean Ambrose won the Money In the Bank ladder match and cashed this in for a heavyweight title shot. No details have been announced yet as to the degree of the injury although it was reported that del Rio managed to make it to Phoenix, Arizona in time for Monday Night Raw.
Summer is getting exciting for the WWE with the brand split that will take place on July 11 that will be followed by the live airing of SmackDown, wherein its complete roster will be made known adding the possible inclusion of Randy Orton. Del Rio might suit up for RAW but it will be after he gets medically cleared first.
