Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may be a busy man in the Hollywood movie industry these days but his wrestling career is definitely not done yet. WWE just hinted that The Rock’s in-ring career continues. In a video they released on their Facebook page, WWE discussed about four of the hottest free agents of the pro-wrestling circuit. One of the names is, of course, The Rock and the other three are The Undertaker, Emma and Luke Harper.
According to Chatt Sports Net, the short clip showed potential legends in the sports entertainment who are expected to move on with their respective careers but are seemingly undeterred by age. One of them is The Rock.
“In the original brand extension draft in 2002, Mr. McMahon chose The Rock as the top pick for SmackDown. The most electrifying man in all of entertainment has created a Hall of Fame worthy resume but as he showed at WrestleMania 32 with a record-breaking win over Erick Rowan, The Rock’s in-ring career is far from over,” according to All Wrestling News.
With this development, it could only mean that The Rock’s alleged feud with Fast and Furious co-star Vin Diesel will be set for a wrestling match at next year’s Wrestlemania. Speculations though suggest that the feud may all be some kind of a ruse just to hype up their movie next year. Their supposed WrestleMania match will happen right before Fast 8 hits the big screen.
Earlier reports say that it all started when the People’s Champ accused some of his Fast and Furious male co-stars of being unprofessional. Fake or not, people are still going to line up for a possible WrestleMania match between the two superstars.
The Rock, at age 44, was revealed to be the highest paid actor in Hollywood nowadays with a net worth $64.5 million a year.
