WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns not losing the WWE World Heavyweight title anytime soon

Seth Rollins made his triumphant return from a knee injury on Sunday at Extreme Rules when he delivered a Pedigree to WWE World Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns. According to the latest WWE rumors, Reigns is currently planned to not lose the title anytime soon.

Shane McMahon announced in the latest episode of Monday Night Raw that Roman Reigns will defend the WWE championship against Seth Rollins at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on June 19. It will be a chance for Rollins to win back the title he never lost.

The former champion was stripped of the WWE championship last November when he underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL, MCL and medial meniscus in his right knee. In his seven-month absence, Reigns won the title three times while Sheamus and Triple H also held the championship.

According to Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats, fans of Rollins should not be happy that he is facing Reigns. The current plan for the champion is to continue holding the title, possibly to get him more credibility.

“Though Seth Rollins is back and working a main event title program with Roman Reigns, it doesn’t look like there are any plans for Reigns to lose the WWE world heavyweight championship anytime soon,” Ortman wrote.

As mentioned in a previous report, Reigns is currently planned to have an epic showdown with John Cena at SummerSlam. On the other hand, the seeds for a Seth Rollins-The Authority feud have already been planted when Stephanie McMahon told Rollins on Raw that he will not receive any special treatment.

It should be noted that the plan for Rollins at WrestleMania 32 before he got injured was a match with Triple H. The Authority was very vital in the WWE title run of Rollins last year that saw him become the best wrestler in the company.
