WWE Rumors: The Shield reunion happening?

The Shield is one of the greatest wrestling stables in recent history. According to the latest WWE rumors, there is a possibility of reuniting the trio of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in the near future.

WWE recently put up a video on their main page about the five teams who beat The Shield. However, there is no indication if the three-man faction will reunite in the future but the video tease certainly gave fans something to think about.

Reigns is the current WWE champion, Ambrose is still waiting to break out in the main event picture and Rollins is still rehabbing his knee. There is also the possibility that WWE will likely push “The Big Dog” even stronger since his first two title reigns are very disastrous.

One of the WWE rumors out there is from Pro Wrestling Mag . They believe that Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows may make their debuts at Payback 2016 and help A.J. Styles win the WWE World Heavyweight championship. That is when Reigns calls for help and fans will see The Shield vs. Bullet Club in the WWE.

But don’t get your hopes up since Seth Rollins is not cleared to return from his knee injury. There is also the fact that WWE can’t use the Bullet Club name because it’s the property of NJPW. Styles may be a former member of the stable, but Finn Balor created Bullet Club back in Japan.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns said in a recent interview with Ring Rust Radio that The Shield reunion will happen. However, he crushed those WWE rumors by adding that it won’t happen anytime soon.

“I’ll always hold the Shield close to the heart. I think we can all say that’s the vehicle that got us out of the warehouse. We spent many hours in that hot, Tampa warehouse trying to get to this point. I definitely one day would want to do it but I don’t see it anytime soon,” Reigns said.

“I think the Shield was so special that one day we will have to get it back together.”
