WWE Rumors: Surprising plan for Seth Rollins return revealed

Seth Rollins is set to return from injury next month, possibly on the June 6 episode of Monday Night Raw in Oklahoma City. Fans are expecting to give Rollins a huge pop but the latest WWE rumors suggest that there is a plan to turn him heel after his triumphant return.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Cageside Seats), the current plan for Rollins is to return as a heel due to the lack of bad guys on the main roster. The top heel in the company now is arguably Chris Jericho with Kevin Owens as a close second.

It would be very hard for fans not to cheer on Rollins once he makes his return. In his lone appearance following his surgery, the crowd gave him a huge ovation when he accepted his Slammy Award for Superstar of the Year last December.

The 29-year-old suffered a torn ACL, MCL and medial meniscus on his right knee last November during the European tour. He landed awkwardly after a top-rope sunset flips attempt on Kane.

His doctors gave him about six to nine months of recovery and he is right on schedule since his return is about seven months after the injury. If Rollins indeed returns as a heel, he does not have The Authority to back him because of the ongoing New McMahon Era storyline with Shane and Stephanie McMahon.

Nonetheless, it is very likely that the fans will give him loud cheers and a huge ovation upon his return. Rollins coming back as a heel is just pure speculation at this point and the WWE has two more weeks to finalize their plans for him.
