WWE Rumors: Triple H vs. Seth Rollins happening at the 2017 Royal Rumble?

The feud between Triple H and Seth Rollins is slowly brewing and many fans expect it to culminate at WrestleMania 33. However, the latest WWE rumors suggest that Triple H vs. Seth Rollins will happen at the 2017 Royal Rumble at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Triple H still has not explained why he helped Kevin Owens win the Universal Championship and turn on Rollins. On the other hand, The Architect is slowly making his way into becoming a full-blown babyface while also taking shots at Triple H’s wife, Stephanie McMahon.

According to Ringside News, the WWE is planning a big babyface turn on Seth Rollins that will culminate with him facing Triple H. However, WWE rumors backstage imply that there are a lot of people concerned with fans cheering The Game despite being portrayed as a bad guy.

Nevertheless, Rollins is going to be a top babyface, along with the new United States champion, Roman Reigns. It is noted that the current plan is to push Reigns as the number one babyface on Monday Night Raw with Rollins as the clear number two.

On the other hand, Triple H is teasing an appearance at the 2017 Royal Rumble. A possible match with Rollins could be on the cards at the event but he will likely cost him a title match or even in the Rumble match itself.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t The Inquisitr), Triple H is not appearing on WWE television until the end of the NFL season. However, the report added that The Game vs. The Architect will likely happen at WrestleMania 33 and not at the Royal Rumble.

Nevertheless, these are just WWE rumors at the moment. Plans tend to change all the time depending on injuries, ratings and many other factors.
