WWE Rumors: Vince McMahon, Triple H wants Finn Balor to win WWE Universal Championship

Finn Balor will face Seth Rollins at SummerSlam to determine the very first WWE Universal Champion in history. According to the latest WWE rumors, Vince McMahon and Triple H are leaning on Balor to win the match and become the face of the company.

Many fans were worried that Vince McMahon’s love for big, tall wrestlers will hinder Balor’s stint on the main roster. However, The Demon quickly became a top contender when he defeated four of the WWE’s top superstars including Roman Reigns.

The WWE has started the “New Era” the right way and Roman Reigns’ recent demotion to the midcard pave the way for many superstars such as Finn Balor. On the other hand, Seth Rollins as the champion will make him a better heel and Balor going after the championship is a great story.

However, Cageside Seats reported that Vince McMahon and Triple H are backing Finn Balor to win the WWE Universal Championship. And with Monday Night Raw being the flagship show, the former NXT champion will be the face of the entire WWE.

The WWE have already started teasing the possibility of the Irishman as next face of the company. In a recent report by WWE.com, many people are calling Balor “The Face of the Future” and it could possibly be true.

“That’s a very flattering moniker, to be called the face of the future, and hopefully, I can live up to that. But for me, you know, it’s my past, present and hopefully my future. Wrestling is my life. So for me, it’s not just the future. It’s literally everything I do,” Balor commented on his new nickname.
