Dean Ambrose successfully defended his WWE World Championship at SummerSlam against Dolph Ziggler. Their feud looks like a one-time thing and both stars could be getting a new opponent.

According to Cageside Seats, A.J. Styles is set to challenge for the WWE World Championship after winning his match against John Cena. WWE top officials are high on Styles and he is currently the top heel on SmackDown.

What’s next for John Cena?

For the first time in a long time, John Cena put over a superstar and catapulted him at the top of the card. A.J. Styles came out as a bigger star after his clean win against Cena, who is expected to miss the next couple of months.

The 15-time WWE World Champion will be filming the second season of his reality television show on FOX, “American Grit.” However, it is not confirmed if he will be showing up on SmackDown this week to talk about his future.

Nikki Bella is back!

The longest-reigning Divas champion in WWE history made her comeback at SummerSlam. Nikki Bella teamed up with Natalya and Alexa Bliss to defeat the team of Becky Lynch, Carmella and Naomi.

Nikki got a huge pop in her return from a career-threatening neck injury. According to Wrestle Zone, John Cena’s girlfriend has officially joined SmackDown live and she is going to provide some much-needed spark in their women’s division.

Update on Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar

A confrontation between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt was teased last week on SmackDown and it is the direction WWE will likely go for Backlash. On the other hand, Shane McMahon is going to have some comments against Brock Lesnar, who hit the F5 on him at the end of SummerSlam.
