WWE suspends Adam Rose and Konnor for failing drug test

WWE stands ground on providing quality sports entertainment and recently the company has acted again in doing a house cleaning after suspending Adam Rose and Konnor after failing a drug wellness policy.

WWE through its website announced Saturday that in accordance to its company’s Talent Wellness Program effective immediately, both Rose (Raymond Leppan) and Konnor (Conor O’Brian) will each serve the suspension of 60-days.

The suspension come a huge blow for WWE as they are also experiencing a “shortage” of superstars due to injuries as well. Among those listed in the injury roster includes John Cena, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt.

As noted by the Bleacher Report, the shortage of superstars in the WWE has becoming significant but the company is not changing its programming as the saying goes “the show must go on.”

The shortage of superstars will most likely be felt in live events but WWE CEO Vince McMahon has a talented pool from NXT, who could possibly fill in for the gaps.

Hollywood life reported that the WWE has not disclosed what illegal substance merited the suspension for both WWE superstars, but it has noted that the company has been following strict drug policy rules, which includes the use of performance enhancing drugs, illegal substance and various medicines prohibited by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Both superstars were suspended back in May 2014 for 30 day each for the same reason.

The 36-year old South African native Rose signed with the WWE in 2010. He is a former two-time FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion under the ring name “Leo Kruger,” and part of the “Social Outcasts.”

Konnor, on the other hand, initially signed with the WWE back in 2005 and was known by the names as “Conor O’Brien,” “Payne,” “Rough House O’Rilley,” and “Ryan O’Rilley” before getting his present moniker. Konnor, also 36, is part of the tag team “The Ascension.” He was part of the fourth season of NXT, and earned fourth place on the show’s fifth season, “NXT Redemption.”

With their suspensions, Adam will leave the Social Outcasts with just three members while Konnor will leave his tag team partner, Viktor, doing a solo act for the meantime.
