As reported in the Bleacher Report, it was an entertaining match as everyone had their chances of winning the gold. The ladder was maximized by the participants throughout the match as each attempted to climb and grab the title belt that hung on the air. With the ladder, the crowd saw aerial maneuvers. Wrestlers were slammed onto ladders, driven into the mat from a ladder, thrown from a ladder into the rope and then dived into the rope into people trying to avoid leaders.

Kevin Ownes and Sami Zayn, who were rivals in WWE Nxt, took their rivalry to the next level kicking off the match vicious right hands in the middle of the ring. Afterwards, ladders started to become involved in the match Stardust slamming Sin Cara into the ladder. Then, Ryder reversed a suplex attempt by Stardust into a neck breaker on the ladder. As he came close to winning the title, Ryder had a bad landing, though.

But the crowd wanted to see Owens vs Zayn as they battled each other at the top of the ladder throwing everything they got to grab the title. Owens was just a few steps to retaining his title. Zayn, on the other hand, wanted to grab the spotlight and make Wrestlemania 32 his moment. KO stopped the momentum with an eye poke to Zayn. But the latter pulled down Ownes and landed a reverse suplex to him on the ladder.

Zayn came close to winning Wrestlemania 32 and the gold, but Miz spoiled the moment and pushed him off the ladder. The MIz was close to winning the title, but he took too much time and played with the crowd. Zach Ryder took advantage of the opportunity, push Miz off the ladder, scattered another one and grabbed the belt to win the Intercontinental title.

For Zack Ryder, he had been waiting for this moment for a long time to boost his career. To make the moment more special, his dad came into the ring and the two celebrated.
