Legendary Kerri Walsh Jennings winning her fourth gold gets closer as she & April Moss defeated Swiss, Australian, & Chinese teams in beach volleyball.

Kerri Walsh Jennings’ dream to win her fourth gold gets closer in Rio Olympics 2016. Recently, she and April Ross defeated the Swiss duo Isabelle Forrer and Anouk Verge-Depre.

Defeating Forrer and Verge-Depre was not easy for the American duo. However, Jennings and Moss were able to conquer the Swiss team at the end of three sets with 21-13, 22-24, 15-12.

Ross explained to USA Today about their second set defeat. For her, it did not mean anything as long as they dominated the first and the third sets.

The intensity of the match was high from the start and it showed through the crowd support. The entire stadium was filled with waves of numerous American flags.

The team of Ross and Jennings will now proceed to the Round of 16 on Friday. Their opponent is yet to be determined. Prior to the recent win against the Swiss, Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross have already beaten the teams of China and the Australia.

There is a possibility for the American duo to face the home court favorites, Talita Antunes and Larissa Franca and the Germans, Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst further up in the competition, as reported by the The Daily Beast.

Jennings’ desire to earn her fourth Olympic gold will be tough, given that the two most notable strong teams are still present in the tournament.

Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Moss will now have to wait for their opponents in the Round of 16. The possibility of fighting against the two predictable teams (Brazil and Germany) remains high for them.
