Boxing and MMA are two entirely different sports, but Conor McGregor may have found his match in Amir Khan. They are both mouthy and love to trash talk with their opponents, inviting much controversy in their corresponding fields.

When the time comes to put the talking to rest, so the action begins, it is going to be an intriguing match up if both finally fight each other. Amir Khan believes he would need six months to fight Conor McGregor under MMA rules.

In a report by BoxingScene, Khan said, “I think a Conor McGregor fight would be massive. It would be a full MMA fight, as I’m not scared of him… I would need 6 months to train in MMA fully and I will spend every day in the cage until I am bang on.”

One can hardly challenge Khan’s willingness, as he had recently bulked up for a fight against Canelo Alvarez that resulted in his horrific knockout.

Brave as he may be, training for 6 months to fight a successful and experienced mixed martial artist such as McGregor may seem too much for him to handle. But he’ll do it. He’ll do it for fame and money, and strangely enough, he said he’d do it just to prove he’s a real man.

Was his manhood ever in question?

Anyhow, experts believe that if they fought a boxing match there’d be no doubt that Amir Khan would easily handle Conor McGregor. But in MMA, former world champion boxer Wayne McCullough laughs it off and says Khan would be gone in 30 seconds.

“Conor McGregor would eat him up in about 30 seconds and that would be it,” McCullough told The Sun. “I tell you what, with those small gloves on, you better have a good chin – and Amir Khan has not shown a good chin in boxing.

Amir Khan has been looking for all sorts of matchups over the years ranging from Manny Pacquiao to Floyd Mayweather, and Kell Brook says Khan recently changed his mind and wants to fight him too. He called him worse than the Kardashian sisters with references to being fickle minded.
